Local Area Network (LAN) Group Configuration on RV180 and RV180W VPN Routers
A Local Area Network (LAN) Group is an IP address or a range of IP addresses that can have special firewall rules such as keyword block. This article explains how to create a LAN Group on the RV180 and RV180W VPN Routers.
Steps of Procedure
Step 1. Use Router Configuration Utility to choose Firewall > Advanced Settings > LAN (Local Network) Group from the menu on the left.
Step 2. In the LAN (Local Network) Group Table, click Add.
Step 3. In the Name field, enter a name for the LAN group.
Step 4. In the LAN (Local Network) Host Table, click Add.
Step 5. From the IP Address Type drop-down menu, choose an option.
• Single Address — This option requires you to enter a single IP address for the LAN group in the Start IP Address field
• Address Range — This option requires you to enter an IP address for the beginning on the range in the Start IP Address field and an IP address for the end of the range in the Finish IP Address field.
Step 6. Click Save to save changes, or Cancel to discard changes.
