Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) Configuration RV180 and RV180W
This document explains how to enable Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) on the RV180 and RV180W.
IGMP is used by hosts and routers on a IP network to create multicast group memberships. IGMP is used on IPv4 networks, IPv6 uses Multicast Listener Discovery( MLD) for its multicast management.
Step 1. Using the Configuration Utility, choose Firewall > Advanced Settings > IGMP Configuration. The IGMP Configuration page opens.
Step 2. Check the IGMP Proxy check box to enable the IGMP Proxy.
- Enabling this allows the router and the nodes to talk with each other.
Step 3. Choose the Upstream Interface type.
Step 4. Click Save to save the settings.
