Configure TFTP Server Settings on RV220W
Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is a protocol that is able to transfer files within a network with only a small amount of memory needed. The protocol is simple which allows low memory usage; however, this simplicity also allows the protocol to be easily compromised. For this reason, TFTP is rarely used with the Internet.
This article explains how to configure the TFTP server settings on the RV220W.
TFTP Server Settings
Step 1: In the router configuration utility, choose Networking > LAN (Local Network) > Advanced DHCP Configuration from the menu to the left.
Step 2: To enable the TFTP Server and Configuration File, check the Enable box.
Step 3: Choose the desired server type in the TFTP Server Type field.
Step 4: If you chose Host Name in step 3, enter the server host name in the TFTP Server Host Name field.
Step 5: If you chose IP Address in step 3, enter the server IP in the TFTP Server IP field.
Step 6: Click Save to save the changes or Cancel to discard the changes.
