Device Mode of Operation on RV180W Routers

Objective

This article explains how to select the mode of operation on the RV180W. These routers can be operated in various modes like Router, Access Point, WDS bridge and WDS Repeater.

Applicable Devices

• RV180W Wireless-N Multifunction Router

To select the Device Mode of Operation

Step 1. Use the Configuration Utility of the router to choose Device Mode which opens the Session Timeout page.

Step 2.  There are four available modes of operation.

• Router – Click this radio button to configure the device in Router mode.

• Access Point – Click this radio button to configure the device in Access Point mode.

• WDS Bridge – Click this radio button to configure the device in Bridge mode.

• WDS Repeater – Click this radio button to configure the device in Repeater mode.

Step 3.  Click Save to save the settings which will reboot the device, or click Cancel to revert the changes made.
