IPv6 Tunneling Configuration on RV220W and RV120W
IPv6 is the internet protocol designed to replace IPv4. It was designed in order to allow for more IP addresses than the current IPv4 protocol allows. IPv6 also utilizes a new header in order to lower the amount of processing time needed to pass through a network.
IPv6 Tunneling is used to allow IPv6 networks to reach the Internet through an active IPv4 network. This has to be done due to the fact that very few networks are natively running IPv6. There are multiple different methods that the router can utilize the most popular of which being 6to4 which is used primarily for inter-site communication. The router can also use Intra-site Automatic Tunnel Addressing Protocol (ISATAP) for IPv6 tunneling within a network.
This article explains how to enable IPv6 Tunneling on the RV120W and RV220W.

IPv6 Tunneling Configuration
Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Networking > IPv6 > Tunneling. The Tunneling page opens:
Step 2. Check the Automatic Tunneling check box.
Step 3. Check the Remote End Point check box to enable Remote End Point. A Remote End Point gets the end points that contain the remote IP addresses and port numbers to which the socket is connected. If the user is using a connectionless protocol, Remote End Point contains the default remote IP address and port number with which the socket will communicate.
Step 4. In the Remote Endpoint field enter the type of identification desired for the gateway at the remote endpoint. This can be the IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
