The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. Why do I want to use CIWUC (Cisco Web Usage Controls) submission tool to submit no-cat URL if the data is already shared and phoned-home via WBNP?
Environment: Cisco Web Security appliance (WSA) with AsyncOS version 6.3 or newer
There are different URL processing priorities for "no-cat" URLs (URLs which are not assigned a pre-defined URL category) that are shared via the WBNP (SensorBase network participation).
The URLs or websites submitted via the online CIWUC submission tool are processed with higher priority than the feedback received via WBNP. Hence if you have any specific URL(s) that you would like it to be categorized sooner, then we recommend submitting the URL(s) via the submission tool.
Other advantage of using submission tool for reporting no-category / mis-categorized URL is that it allows you to pick your suggested URL category as well as to track processing status of the submitted URLs.
