Random failures of the flash drive on the 15600-TSC card have been detected. This failure has been root caused to a firmware issue on the flash drive of a limited number of 15600-TSC cards. This issue will eventually render the flash drive inoperable and can lead to a network traffic outage.
A flash drive random failure has been identified on ONS15600 TSC. The flash drive was found nonoperational with no communication to the host controller. The flash drive vendor isolated the root cause to corruption of the drive's data due to defective firmware.

No workaround process/procedure for this issue has been identified. Customers are requested to check their hardware against the serial number validation tool provided in this field notice. Once the hardware has been validated as affected, Cisco recommends replacement.
