This article relates to Cisco TelePresence Server 7010.
Q. How do I know if my Telepresence Server is a Conference controller and what does this mean?
A. Every Telepresence Server includes an application that controls the media processing. However, the control application is also capable of controlling the media processing on other Telepresence Servers. This allows you to use a single set of endpoint, conference and room configurations across a group of Telepresence Servers and monitor them as a single system capable of handling more simultaneous calls than on a single Telepresence Server. Therefore each Telepresence Server can be configured to run standalone, as a Conference controller or as a controlled Telepresence Server, and this is shown in the Conference control field in the Status page. See the online help topic, Understanding the Conference controller, for information about configuring and running a multiple Telepresence Server system.
