Q. Can I use a T1 with a TANDBERG Codian MCU?
A. Yes. However certain limitations may apply depending on the series of T1 that you have.
There are currently three variations of T1 systems:
TANDBERG Telepresence T1
The TANDBERG Telepresence T1 can participate in conferences on the TANDBERG Codian MCU 4500 Series. However, the following limitations apply:
You will not be able to see the immersive Telepresence layouts
You cannot set up conferences automatically using the control panel
You cannot change layouts
The Telepresence T1 solution has been developed to closely integrate with the Telepresence Server and that is the recommended multipoint infrastructure solution. Telepresence Layouts are only available when you connect to a Telepresence Server (TS7010, MSE8710)
First generation T1s and Profile 65
First generation T1s and Profile 65 can participate in conferences on the TANDBERG Codian MCU 4500 Series. The T1 will function as a normal endpoint participating in a conference, and providing you have a remote control you can change layouts using Far End Camera Control, and set up conferences. You will not be able to see the Telepresence Layouts unless you connect to a Telepresence Server (TS7010, MSE8710)
