Cisco recommends that you have knowledge of Cisco TMS.
Components Used
The information in this document is based on Cisco TMS.

Update Settings on Cisco TMS when a System is Moved to a New Location
In order to communicate with a system, Cisco must have a network address such as an IP address or Domain Name System (DNS) hostname address.
A system is uniquely identified in Cisco TMS by the Track system on network by setting defined for each system. This setting can be set to an IP address, MAC address, or a hostname. When you use MAC address or hostname choices, the IP address used to reach the system can be automatically updated if the system's actual IP address changes.
Note: Track by MAC Address or Hostname is not supported for all device types.
If the Track system on network by setting changes, the value must be updated manually in the Connection tab for the device in System Navigator for Cisco TMS in order to be able to reestablish connectivity to the system. Complete these steps in order to update the bookings of any future calls that the system will be a part of:
- Update the Connection settings for the system if the value used to track the system has changed.
- Select Systems > Navigator.
- Select the system.
- Click the Connection tab.
- Update the settings.
- Click Save/Try.
- Select the Settings page and click Force Refresh so that Cisco TMS reflects the new aliases for the system.
- Select Booking > List Conferences.
- Use the Filter Systems feature to list all future conferences that include the moved system.
- For each conference in turn:
- Open the conference's Connection Settings.
- The call route is updated with the system's new aliases. Click Save Conference in order to close the conference.
