Q. How do I copy media and configurations between two TANDBERG Content Servers?
A. This article provides a procedure for copying media and configurations between two different Content Servers. The procedure will copy the following from one Content Server (the source Content Server) to another (the destination Content Server).
WARNING: The copy process will replace all configurations and media on the destination Content Server.Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure that:
Both Content Servers are at the same version and build number.
Both Content Servers are set to the same date/time and timezone.
Neither of the Content Servers are added to a domain.
The source Content Server's authentication should be set to local. Domain or LDAP authentication can be configured on the destination Content Server after the transfer.
WARNING: You must follow the copy instructions in the order that they are listed below, otherwise the copy process will fail.
To copy media and configuration:
Stop the following services on the source Content Server then the destination Content Server:
Delete all folders from the E:\ directory on the destination Content Server.
Copy all folders from the E:\ directory of the source Content Server to the E:\ directory on the destination Content Server.
To avoid gatekeeper registration conflicts, make sure that the source Content Server is not registered to the gatekeeper or is offline.
Run a repair with the Content Server installer on the destination Content Server. To run a repair, select Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs from the Windows menu.
Locate the TANDBERG Content Server in the list of currently installed programs and click Change.
Follow the InstallShield Wizard instructions making sure to choose Repair from the Program Maintenance window.
When the repair has completed, test the destination Content Server by going to Site Settings and clicking Save to check for any misconfiguration, then record a new conference and play it.
If the conference does not play as expected, perform the copy again.
