Any limited resource should have a Resource Definition and a defined maximum limit.
A resource is a method of managing a set of jobs. The resource is assigned to each job, and the Resource Limit controls the number of jobs which may run at a given time.
Complete these steps in order to define a resource:
Open the Tidal Enterprise Scheduler Client.
Under Definitions, right-click Resources.
Click Add Resource.
Enter the Resource Name, Owner, and Limit.
Go to the Job Definition of each job which uses the resource.
In the Resource tab of the Job Definition, click Add, and select the resource from the drop-down menu.
