This document describes how many event log entries are maintained in the Cisco Information Server (CIS) and how many are displayed in the Studio.
How many entries are maintained in /services/databases/system/LOG_EVENTS?
The number of log entries maintained in CIS is configured with these settings:
Maximum Viewable Events - The maximum number of events that can be viewed from the Events console in Studio Manager. In Studio, you can set this number with the Configuration dialog setting for Maximum Viewable Entries under CIS Server > Events and Logging > Logging > Memory.
Maximum Event Entries - The maximum number of events to be stored in the CIS repository. When the number of events reaches this threshold, the oldest events are discarded in First In, First Out (FIFO) order. The log files are generally configured in order to retain a more expansive archive of event entries. In Studio, you can change the Maximum Event Entries with the Configuration window setting for Maximum Log Entries in CIS Server > Events and Logging > Logging > Database Logger.
