Introduction
This document discusses encryption strength in Cisco Information Server (CIS) Version 7.0.x.
Q. Why does a CIS v7 installation still include non-strong key & trust store .jks files?
In a CIS installation under /conf/server/security, you will see files such as:
cis_server_keystore_strong.jks
cis_server_truststore_strong.jks
cis_datasource_truststore_strong.jks
cis_datasource_keystore_strong.jks
as well as the ones without a strong designation in the filename:
cis_server_keystore.jks
cis_server_truststore.jks
cis_datasource_truststore.jks
cis_datasource_keystore.jks
You can ignore these non-strong filenames,as they are currently unused by the server and only a remaining legacy of the CIS server from prior releases before v7.0.x.
These files will be permanently removed in the future CIS v8.
