Frequently Asked Questions:

When will the Cisco/State of New York Comprehensive Telecommunications Equipment and Solutions “CTES” PT64525 contract be terminated?

November 30, 2017

Why is this contract being terminated?

The NYS OGS is terminating this contract for convenience, and has put in the NYS Umbrella contract in its place in which Cisco is a prime contractor.

I currently have open deals on the table with the NY authorized users, what should I do with these deals?

Orders can be booked through this the legacy CTES PT64525 contract up to the contract termination date, November 30, 2017. However, we advise you to book as soon as possible to avoid any potential issues with the buyers. As you know, all POs must reference the CTES PT64525 contract (mandatory) and it is our recommendation that they should be dated by 11/29/2017 AND accepted by the partner BY November 30, 2017.

What is going to happen to the multi-year service maintenance agreements that were procured under the legacy CTES PT64525?

Those Service maintenance agreements (i.e. SMARTnet, Non-SMARTnet, etc) that were procured under the CTES PT64525 prior to the termination date November 30, 2017 will continue for the full duration of the term of the maintenance agreement or until November 30, 2022, whichever comes first.

Can I still deliver products and services after the contract termination date?

Yes, as long as the purchase orders for those products and services are accepted and processed prior to the termination date of November 30, 2017.

I am a current Umbrella Reseller as well as a PT64525 reseller, can I still use the PT64525 contract?

Yes, up until the termination date. However it is more advantageous to use the Umbrella contract as the price lists are current (i.e. updated price lists which now includes some cloud offerings)

Since there have been no recent updates to the price list of the current PT64525 contract, what should I do to validate that items are still available?

Reference the current posted price list ( and ensure your items are available and approved, then cross check the current Cisco GPL ( to ensure that your items are available to order.
