Federal Enterprise Architecture

The Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) initiative identifies ways the federal government can simplify processes, reduce cost, and share information and resources across agencies and within the lines of business. Developed by the Office of Management and Budget, the FEA is a business-driven framework to deliver services that are more citizen-centered, results-oriented, and market-based.

Federal Enterprise Architecture creates a framework for agencies to implement virtualization and cloud computing technologies to achieve its goals in the data center.

Cisco achieves similar goals with its Enterprise Architecture strategy, which aligns IT with business needs. By using the network as a platform to deliver services, the Cisco Enterprise Architecture provides a flexible infrastructure that helps federal agencies realize the Federal Enterprise Architecture vision.
