Explore the Security Bottom Line report: How much security is enough?

What we cover in the latest report

When organizations have dozens of security products installed and still get breached, it begs the question: How much security is enough? How many products does an organization need? How much should be spent on security? We aim to answer these questions through a double-blind survey of approximately 80 security professionals, along with expert commentary.

Increased spending does not always translate into greater security capability. Other factors must be considered, such as expertise and influence.

Mid-size organizations with 1000 to 9999 employees are struggling the most to adequately secure their environments.

Overall, organizations do not think they can afford the security they need, no matter what size they are or how much they are currently spending.

The bigger the organization, the easier it is to influence third parties that affect its security posture.
