The Millennium team was looking for the right partners to set up its network within the new construction of a "smart" business and event centre in the heart of the Lake Geneva region. Everything under one roof
For those who work in the Millennium universe, every day is a pleasure because there’s always something exciting going on. Automatic number plate recognition on entry to the car park ensures a smooth start to the day. With the myMillennium app, you can reserve tables at the brasserie or complete your click-and-collect shopping, which you can pick up after a session at the in-house gym or following an after-work event in the function rooms. The Millennium combines a hair and beauty salon, dry cleaning service, kindergarten, grocery shop, several restaurants, catering service, conference centre, auditorium and club – all under one roof and powered by the self-produced photovoltaic energy and a local recycling plant.
Technology at its best
This unique facility is all made possible by the underpinning technology: the entire building, including the catering and service outlets, are connected to a single Cisco DNA network. Everything can be controlled from here: including monitoring the air quality, the all-IP netwok, transmission of audio and video data to every area of the building and monitoring the smart façade with its self-regulating windows that automatically adjust to the light conditions.
