This COP file is a fix for CSCtc80749 and applies to all supported IBM and HP server models upgraded to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.1(3) from a prior release. There is no workaround; this COP file is an alternative to upgrading to a 7.1.3 version with the fix.

Problem Description

1.      Hardware SNMP fails after reboot. Any customer using hardware SNMP will see the issue.

2.      Server boot up time increases with every reboot. The amount of time that reboots will increase by varies depending upon whether it is HP or IBM servers, but reboots up to 30 minutes have been seen after several subsequent reboots.

3.      The CLI ‘show environment’ command on IBM servers is adversely affected.

Products Affected

IBM and HP servers running the following:

- Cisco Unified Communications Manager upgraded to 7.1(3) from any prior release. Fresh installs are not impacted. The server must be rebooted at least once after upgrade to encounter this issue.

Apply to all IBM and HP servers upgraded to 7.1(3) from any prior release:

  1. Make sure the server has been rebooted at least once after the upgrade to 7.1(3).
  2. From the "Install/Upgrade" option under "Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Administration."
  3. Find and select the COP file ciscocm.CSCtc80749.7.1.3.cop.sgn located on your SFTP server.
  1. Install this COP file - you should see a "Status Complete" message.
  2. Reboot the server.
