Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G Firmware Version 1.3(3)

Version and description:

The 1.3(3) firmware image within the installation program supports the Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP) for the following Cisco Unified IP Conference Station model:

This firmware version is supported on Cisco Unified CallManager Release 5.1(2) and higher, and Cisco Unified CallManager Releases 4.3(1), 4.2(3), and 4.1(3).

Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G Firmware Installation Instructions

Before using the Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G with Cisco Unified CallManager release 4.1(3)SR5 or later, you must install the latest firmware on all Cisco Unified CallManager servers in the cluster.

 

Note: If you have a Cisco Unified CallManager on a Release earlier than 4.1(3)SR5, do NOT install this firmware.  You must first upgrade your Cisco Unified CallManager to one of the compatible releases listed in Table 1.

The 1.3(3) installation programs for the 7937G are listed below.

Note: For the Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G, you should not add the .bin extension to the firmware version name in the Cisco Unified CallManager database.

 

Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G Installation Instructions

Perform the following procedure:

  2. Download the file that is listed in Table 2 to your hard drive.

Please note that different versions of the installer are needed for different Cisco Unified CallManager releases.  Cisco Unified CallManager releases earlier than 5.0 are based on a Windows server platform.  Cisco Unified CallManager release 5.0 and later are based on an appliance server platform.

When using Cisco Unified CallManager Release 5.0 or later

For Cisco Unified CallManager 5.0 (and later), you must do all software installations and upgrades by using the Software Upgrades menu options. The system can upload and process only software that Cisco Systems approved. You cannot install or use third-party or Windows-based software applications that you may have been using with a previous version of Cisco Unified CallManager with Cisco Unified CallManager 5.0 and later.

  1. Using your web browser, login to the Cisco Unified OS Administration web page
  2. Under the Software Upgrades menu, select Install/Upgrade.
  3. Fill in the appropriate values in the Software Location section for the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
  4. In the Available Software drop-down box, select the file you downloaded above, and click Next.
  5. After validating the MD5 has the correct value, click Next.
  6. In the Warning box, verify you have selected the correct firmware, then click Install.
  7. Check that you received a Success message.
  8. Login to Cisco Unified CM Serviceability web page.
  9. Under the Tools menu, select Control Center - Feature Services.
  10. Select the Cisco Tftp service, and click on the Restart button.

 

When Using Cisco Unified CallManager earlier than Release 5.0

  1. Login to the console of the Cisco Unified CallManager Server where you downloaded the installer.
  2. Note the location where you saved the downloaded file.
  3. Double-click the file to start the installation.
  4. In the Welcome window, click Next.
  5. In the License Agreement window, click Yes.
  6. If a Read Only File Detected window pops up, click Yes.
  7. After the installation finishes, click OK.
  8. Reset all corresponding devices.

 

 

Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G Alternate Firmware format

The Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G Firmware version 1.3(3) is also supplied in a zip file, as an alternative in case a Cisco Unified CallManager is not available to load the installer program. The name of this file is: cmterm-7937-sccp.1-3-3.zip.

After unzipping the firmware file(s), they should be manually copied to the appropriate directory on the TFTP server.
