Collection and Use of Information
In order to use the ūmi service ("ūmi Service"), you must register online at https://www.umiconnect.com/home/. As part of the registration process, we ask you to supply us with personal information, such as name, postal address, email address, payment information and telephone number. In addition, as part of the registration process, you are given a unique ūmi calling number ("ūmi Number"). This personal information is used to process your registration and set up the ūmi Service, to process payments and to communicate with you on ūmi Service features, such as missed calls, available video messages and credit card expirations. If you do not provide the requested personal information, you will not be able to access or use the ūmi Service.
When you use the ūmi Service, we may keep track of certain information related to your use of the ūmi Service, including but not limited to date, time and length of calls, location of calls placed, frequency of calls, other services used within the ūmi Service infrastructure, how frequently you encounter errors on the ūmi System and other related information. We use this information to help us quickly and efficiently respond to inquiries and requests and enhance or administer our overall ūmi Service for our customers. We may also use this information for traffic analysis (for example, determining when the most customers are using the ūmi Service) and to determine which features within the ūmi Service are most or least effective or useful to you. In addition, we may periodically transmit system information to our servers in order to optimize your overall experience with the ūmi Service. We may share aggregated and anonymous user experience information with service providers, contractors or other third parties to assist us with improving the umi Service and user experience, but any shared information will be consistent with Cisco's overall Privacy Statement and will not identify you personally in any way.
Cisco does not post ūmi Numbers or provide them publicly through a directory. It is your responsibility to safeguard your ūmi Number and limit access to it to those you can trust. One of the preferences you can elect to modify is to receive calls only from people on your Contacts list. You can change this setting at any time by de-selecting the radio button "allow calls from anyone" in the "Privacy" section of the "My Settings" area in the TV user interface or by editing the "Settings -> Privacy" tab at https://www.umiconnect.com/home/.
If you use the ūmi Service to upload recorded video messages to third-party websites or tools, they are outside our control and not covered by this Cisco Privacy Statement and supplement. We encourage you to review the privacy statements posted on those third party websites.
Access to and Updating Your Personal Information
You have the ability to view or edit your Personal Information online by logging into your account at https://www.umiconnect.com/home/. You are responsible for updating and maintaining the truth and accuracy of the Personal Information you provide to us relating to your account. If you would like to deactivate your account, you will need to call our technical support number at (877) 425-4864.
Sharing Your Personal Information
One of the features of the ūmi Service allows you to share personal recorded video messages with others. You can share these messages many different ways, including through the ūmi Service, by email or by posting to third party websites. If you decide to share messages via email, we require you provide us with a valid email address for each recipient. We use these email addresses only to share your recorded video messages at your direction.
Please note that if you choose to use the ūmi Service to share your recorded video messages with your friends or family members and they post your messages on a website or forward to other individuals, these messages along with your email address and original message may be accessible to others who view the email or visit these websites.
We have no control over, and are not responsible or liable for, the privacy of any content that you have shared with others. Even after you remove information from your ūmi Service or deactivate your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others.
Future Features and Services
We may add to or upgrade the ūmi Service to provide you with new features on an ongoing basis. We may also make available new services in the future. New services provided by third parties or service providers will be governed by the privacy policies of the respective third party or service provider.
When you use the ūmi Service, you are subject to the applicable end user license agreement and terms of service.
