TAC Tip: "How Do I... use the Cisco Support Community to find answers to my technical challenges?"
The Cisco Support Community is the largest technical support community for all Cisco networking professionals. With more than 250,000 registered users and 11 years of history, Cisco Support Community is where networking professionals connect with each other and with Cisco to share knowledge and solve problems.

By interacting with a worldwide community of Cisco experts, from both inside and outside of Cisco, users gain insights and information on Cisco products and technologies that cannot be found elsewhere. Many times users find answers to their questions before they contact anyone else within Cisco.

Users can start their support experience on Cisco Support Community and then, for those with a Cisco support contract, transition to assisted support from Cisco, if needed.

Get a step-by-step view of some of the things you can do with the Cisco Support Community, or take a tour.

Many readers sent in questions that have answers currently posted on the Cisco Support Community. Check out this valuable resource the next time you are stumped by a complex issue.

What do YOU really want to ask a Cisco TAC engineer? Send us a good question and we'll give you a good answer (and some free stuff too). Send your ideas to techsupportnews@cisco.com

Your Support Website: Test Drive the New Bug Search Tool

When we reviewed all the feedback on Bug Toolkit and began designing its successor, a few "must haves" stood out. We heard you and others calling for:

  • Faster searches
  • More precise results
  • Better overall tool performance

As we went to work on these requirements for the new Bug Search Tool we added other features to smooth the ride. You can now rate bug descriptions and see average user ratings. We also tried to give you easier ways to watch bugs, save searches, and manage your notifications.

Are we hitting the mark with this beta version of Bug Search Tool? We'd like you to test drive it, tell us how it works for you, and help us make sure that the refined version clears the bar we've set together.

Please try out the Bug Search Tool now.
