Improves Usability

On October 2, 2006, Cisco unveiled a new Website to accompany a new corporate branding initiative. As part of the re-branding, a newly redesigned Cisco Support Website (formerly the Technical Support & Documentation Website) was developed. The Support Website enables you to increase your technical support productivity and self-sufficiency by providing improved navigation to key resources.

In addition to the existing upfront access to software downloads, top troubleshooting tools, and documentation, we have also highlighted the Networking Professionals Connection (NetPro) as a top-level support task item.

Based on direct input and feedback from you, and ongoing user metrics, the Website enhancements include:

  • Quick access to NetPro Community -- highlights the peer-to-peer community support with other Cisco users.
  • Improved access to Training & Certifications -- allows faster access to related support and services programs that enhance your proficiency with Cisco products and solutions.
  • Updated naming: Technical Services -- updated naming to reflect the breadth of services the Cisco organization provides.

This latest update to the Cisco Support Website is being released in conjunction with our broader site-wide branding. With this release, we are delivering on our goal of providing a consistent, world-class user experience as well as providing you with access to your most relevant support needs upfront.

CCIE Central - UPDATE:
New Storage Networking Lab to Open in Brussels, Belgium

The CCIE program is pleased to announce the opening of the CCIE Storage Networking lab exam in Brussels, Belgium, on November 20, 2006. In order to serve the growing number of worldwide candidates pursuing CCIE Storage Networking certification, the locations offering the CCIE Storage Networking lab now include RTP, North Carolina and Brussels, Belgium. Online scheduling is now available.
