TL 9000 Information Requests - UPDATE:
Requests Will Cover Broader Range of Cisco Products
In response to customer feedback, Cisco Systems is providing TL 9000 measurements for additional Cisco products. Beginning May 20, 2004, when closing your cases, the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will e-mail you information requests concerning network down or outage problems for the following products:
- Cisco 7600 Series Routers
- Cisco 10000 Series Routers
- Cisco 10700 Series Routers
- Cisco 12000 Series Routers
- Cisco 7600 Router Manager
- Cisco 10000 Manager
- Cisco 10720/12000 Router Manager
- Cisco Element Manager System
The Cisco TAC will continue to send information requests for the following products currently registered to TL 9000:
- ONS 15327
- ONS 15454
- ONS 15600
- Cisco Transport Manager (CTM)
These information requests are not customer satisfaction surveys, but rather cover details related to your outage. We will process and report all the data we obtain in a manner compliant with the TL 9000 counting rules for system outages. We plan to use this information to improve our products and your network availability.

Cisco Product Identification Tool - NEW:
New Tool Expedites Technical Support Entitlement
As of May 2004, Cisco is offering the new online Cisco Product Identification Tool as part of our ongoing initiative to evolve and streamline support processes. This tool replaces the Cisco Serial Number Label Location Finder Webpage, and will help you quickly and easily locate product serial numbers.
Accurate and accessible data at the serial-number level is important for identifying Cisco products, and can expedite your entitlement process when you use the new Cisco TAC Service Request Tool.
The Cisco Product Identification Tool provides detailed descriptions and illustrations showing the location of serial number labels on more than 250 Cisco chassis products. We will update the tool as we introduce new products and add functionality.

US Networkers 2004 Conference - UPDATE:
Techtorials Offer Full Day of Technology-Specific Training
Do you need to learn as much as possible about a particular networking technology as quickly as possible? Techtorials offered at this year's US Networkers Conference are the answer!
Techtorials (formerly called "Power Sessions") are start-to-finish, full-day tutorials focused on particular technologies. They are designed to complement the Technology Breakout Sessions available throughout the conference. Each Techtorial starts with an explanation of the technology, and then discusses design principles based on case studies and best practices. From there, the session moves on to advanced concepts and future technology.
The 2004 US Networkers Conference will take place July 11-16 in New Orleans, LA. Techtorials are offered on Monday and Friday, at an additional cost of US$495 for one day or US$695 for both days. Enrollment is limited to ensure Techtorials are interactive and provide opportunities for in-depth Q&A.

CCIE® Central - UPDATE:
Updates Planned for Three CCIE Lab Exams
Through written and hands-on lab exams, the CCIE program identifies world-class experts capable of implementing and maintaining highly secure business networks. To maintain the quality and challenge of its exams, the CCIE program will soon update the software versions tested in three CCIE labs:
- On July 1, the CCIE Security exam will be updated with Cisco IOS® 12.2T and PIX® version 6.3.
- On July 1, the CCIE Service Provider exam will be updated with Cisco IOS 12.2T for Cisco 2600 series routers and Cisco IOS 12.3T for Cisco 3600/3700 series routers.
- On August 1, the CCIE Routing and Switching exam will be updated with Cisco IOS 12.2T.
Prior to these dates, CCIE candidates might see the new software in the labs, but will not be tested on the new software features until these dates.
