Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3 (7)T - NEW:
Cisco Extends Network Security
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3(7)T, the third release in the 12.3T family, is now available. The powerful new hardware support, enhanced security management capabilities, and enriched Cisco IOS Firewall functionality in Release 12.3(7)T protect sensitive data and corporate resources from malicious attacks.
Key features of Release 12.3(7)T include:
- Role-Based Command Line Interface (CLI) Access -- Provides secure configuration and monitoring options with enhanced management capabilities.
- Transparent Cisco IOS Firewall (Layer 2 Firewall) -- Simplifies network provisioning with easy deployment via your network's existing IP addressing scheme.
- Cisco IOS Firewall for IPv6 -- Enables secure co-existence of IPv4 and IPv6, allowing your organization to better manage its IPv6 migration process.
- Cisco 1711 and 1712 Security Access Routers -- Allows you to provide an integrated network-security solution.

Product Support Area Redesign - UPDATE:
Technical Support Website Restructured to Improve Navigation
We recently restructured the Cisco Technical Support Website to improve navigation and to help you find the product support information you need as quickly as possible.
Changes include:
- Combining Hardware Support and Software Support under a single area called "Product Support." For example, we combined the Hardware Support category of "Content Networking Devices" and the Software Support category of "Content Networking Software" into a single Product Support category called "Content Networking."
- Combining related product categories to reduce the overall number of categories by more than half. For example, we combined the two categories "Switches" and "Hubs" into a single category "Switches and Hubs."
- Reorganizing categories to make it easier to find product information. For example, under "Security and VPN," we added new sub-categories such as "Firewall," "Identity Management," and "Security Management" to identify different product functions. Under "Voice and Telephony," we added new sub- categories such as "Call Control," "Customer Contact," and "IP Phones" to identify different products.
For more information on these changes, including how the old categories map to the new ones, please visit one of the following URLs:
