Cisco TAC Web Site "View All Documents" Feature - NEW:
New Feature Displays All Links for Each Support Category on One Page
The hardware, software, and technology support pages on the Cisco TAC Web Site now include a "View All Documents" link at the top of each page, so you no longer need to click between sections for a given category.
When you select the new "View All Documents" link, a comprehensive list of the resources for that category will display, including technical tips, sample configurations, and field notices, as well as online tools and utilities. This new
feature allows you to scroll quickly to see all the technical support information available for each category.
For example, here's how to access the complete list of support resources for Cisco 7000 Series routers:
- Go to the Cisco TAC Web Site at www.cisco.com/tac.
- In the middle column, click "Hardware Support."
- In the navigation bar on the left, click "Routers."
- In the navigation bar on the left, click "7000 Series Routers." This page displays the categories of available resources.
- Now, click the "View All Documents" link above the outline, and here's what you'll see:

Visit your favorite hardware, software, or technology support page today to see the "View All Documents" listing for that category.
Cisco Output Interpreter Tool - UPDATE:
New Support for Tracebacks, Cisco IOS "show align" and Catalyst OS "show tech-support" Commands
The Cisco Output Interpreter tool provides an instant, online analysis of the output from more than 99 "show" commands, including tracebacks, "show align" for Cisco IOS platforms, and "show tech-support" for Catalyst OS platforms.
- Tracebacks -- The Output Interpreter can now decode a traceback's hexadecimal number and determine which bug is affecting your router. Just paste the traceback into the tool to troubleshoot the issue without having to call the Cisco TAC.
- "Show align" (Cisco IOS) -- Submit the output from this command to troubleshoot spurious memory access issues. The Output Interpreter will decode the hexadecimal numbers in the output and tell you what bug is affecting the router.
- "Show tech-support" (Catalyst OS) -- Submit the output from this command for an overall health check on your Catalyst OS device. Your analysis will cover potential problems with the switch's hardware, modules and ports, trunking, and spanning tree, as well as suggested fixes for those problems.
Start your troubleshooting with a customized analysis from the Output Interpreter:

- Multiple service set identifiers (SSIDs)
- Centralized administrator authentication
- Improved handling of lost Ethernet connectivity
- Secure shell support for secure Telnet interfaces
- Reporting on access points that fail authentication with LEAP

Cisco TAC Case Query Tool - UPDATE:
Update TAC Cases Online Quickly and Accurately
The online Cisco TAC Case Query tool allows you to update your Cisco TAC cases yourself, adding notes or uploading files, instead of dictating updates to a Cisco representative over the phone. This way, you can make sure your case history is accurate and complete, so that your TAC engineer can resolve the case as
quickly as possible.
Our customers who use the Cisco TAC Case Query tool have been happy with the tool's benefits:
- Access -- You can view and update your cases at any time.
- Speed -- You can update a case online in less than half the time it takes to call us and have a representative update a case for you.
- Technical information -- The Cisco TAC Case Query tool lets you enter detailed technical notes, and attach configuration or output files to the case.
- Streamlined communication -- Each time you update a case, the tool sends an alert to your TAC engineer and captures your updates in the case history. This detailed case history is particularly helpful if your case is requeued to another engineer.
Use the Cisco TAC Case Query tool the next time you need to update a Cisco TAC case:
