These pages provide answers to customer questions such as, "Which VPN client do I need to download?" and "How do I configure PIX Firewall 6.0 with my VPN client?" The Tech Notes pages reveal which versions of Cisco hardware and software support IPSec/Point-to-Point Tunnel Protocol (IPSec/PPTP). The matrix illustrating hardware and software support includes:
The Sample Configurations pages provide information on configuring Cisco Secure PIX Firewall 6.0.x and Cisco VPN 3000 clients using IPSec. The sample configuration shows two versions of Cisco VPN 3000 clients connecting and encrypting traffic with the Cisco Secure PIX Firewall as the tunnel endpoint. The sample configuration is based on use of the following equipment and software:

In addition to discussing the particular Cisco technology-based architecture of the ACU IP telephony solution, this case study examines in some detail the Australian Academic and Research Network (AARNet), a high-speed IP network that interconnects 37 Australian universities as well as the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). It was over the AARNet backbone that ACU was able to deploy its IP telephony. The discussion of ACU's IP telephony network and its AARNet backbone focuses on the means by which quality of service (QoS) and class of service (CoS) can be delivered with Cisco routers, servers, and gateways. To read more about AARNet and the ACU IP telephony deployment, please visit: http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/788/AVVID/ACU_casestudy.html http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/AVVID/ACU_casestudy.html Cisco Icon Library - UPDATED: The Cisco Icon Library has been updated recently with Visio icons to assist in the creation of network diagrams, presentations, and other collateral. Along with the assortment of icons specifically formatted for documentation (black and white), marketing (grayscale), and PowerPoint (color), there are now full-color icons available to customers who use Microsoft Visio for their documents and presentations. Easy-to-follow instructions for downloading the icons are presented at the Cisco Icon Library site. Along with the Visio-specific icons, customers can also download EPS, TIF, BMP, PDF, and PowerPoint icons of Cisco products. Additionally, the site links to a listing of Visio-based icons for specific Cisco products, including:
