It's Easier than Ever to Identify the
Right Cisco IOS® Software Release!
The Cisco Feature Navigator helps you quickly
determine which Cisco IOS software images support a particular set of features, or
which features are supported in a particular Cisco IOS software release or image.
With just a few clicks, this application will help you:
- Save time by identifying the right Cisco IOS software release for your needs

Cisco Compatibility Advisor:
A Fast and Simple Way to Match Cisco Catalyst® Hardware with Operating Software
The Cisco Compatibility Advisor now
provides system-level compatibility information for Cisco Catalyst® 5000
and Catalyst 6000 family switches, including the highly requested Gigabit
Ethernet and ATM modules.
Use the Compatibility Advisor to enter your planned or existing hardware configuration
and determine the recommended and minimum versions of Catalyst operating system
software. You can also use a command parser to cut and paste "show ver" and "show mod"
commands into the tool, allowing the Compatibility Advisor to determine your
current hardware configuration. This tool was recently enhanced with a streamlined
user interface and improved logic that make it easier to enter hardware configurations.
