Guidelines: Apply for a Cisco Partner Specialization

Apply for a Cisco Partner Specialization

Before applying for your Specialization, please follow these guidelines to ensure that all contacts can be allocated to specialization job roles and that the application can be successfully submitted. Do not begin an application until you have verified that your contacts are in compliance with all Specialization requirements using the guidelines below. If you start an application prior to completing the steps below, application processing cannot occur.

  1. Your company must be a Registered Partner before applying for specialization(s) or a certification. Visit the "Become a Registered Partner" page if you are new to the Cisco Channel Partner Program and have not registered.

  2. Visit the "Specialization Planner" tab within the online application to see what specialization(s) your company qualifies for or what is needed for your company to achieve a specialization. It takes up to 5-10 business days on average for Cisco to receive the data from it's respective testing agencies that all exams have been passed. The testing information will first be displayed in the Cisco Career Certification Tracking System. An individual's exams or certifications will appear in their Partner Self Service profile within 2-3 days of appearing in their Tracking System profile.

  3. Verify that the certified individuals fulfilling job roles are allocated to your company with their CSCO number. Partner Administrators and internal Cisco employees (associated through the CAM Assignment tool) are able to verify this information using the Partner Self Service tool .

If the certified individual that now works for your company is associated with a different company in Cisco's database, then they will need to update their company association in the Partner Self Service tool. Individuals are responsible for their company association.

  4. Verify that the certified contacts have only one CSCO number via the Cisco Career Certification tracking system . If an individual has more than one CSCO number, they must be merged under the same individual; exam information under separate CSCO numbers will not merge into the Channel Partner application. To request merging two or more CSCO numbers associated with a certified contact, click here .

  5. Complete and Submit the Specialization application.

  6. Contact Cisco Partner Help if you have followed Steps 1-5 and are unable to allocate any contact whose company information, career certification, and 5-10 business days have passed since completing ALL exams. Include the following details to initiate an investigation:
         A. Name of Company
         B. Name of Specialization
         C. First and Last name of contacts for each job role
         D. CSCO ID of contacts for each job role
         E. Exam completion dates for each contact per job role
