SaaS Conferencing and EIM Resale ATP Role Requirements

To achieve a Software as a Service (SaaS) Conferencing and Enterprise Instant Messaging (EIM) Resale ATP certification, partners must fulfill each of the following defined job roles:

Account Manager
Systems Engineer
Field Engineer
Technical Support Specialist

Note: Role sharing guidelines for ATPs are unique and specific for each ATP program. These guidelines sit outside of the role sharing guidelines used for specializations and certifications, allowing a partner to utilize roles that have already been assigned in one or more specialization or certification programs. One individual may not fulfill more than one job role within the SaaS Conferencing and EIM Resale ATP Program. Persons filling roles must be employees.

The SaaS Conferencing and EIM Resale ATP Program requirements are as follows:

Account Manager (AM)

The AM will handle the account management and pre-sales tasks necessary to recognize opportunities and to sell the Cisco SaaS Resale ATP Program elements. The AM is responsible for articulating the Cisco Collaboration architecture and how the Cisco SaaS elements fit within that architecture. In addition, the AM will have the capability to demonstrate Cisco SaaS elements, prepare technical responses to RFPs, and provide sales support for installed customers.

Systems Engineer (SE)

The SE will help customers to plan, design, acquire, configure, implement, and integrate the services required to support Cisco SaaS Resale ATP Program elements. The SE is a key member of the account team and is responsible for ensuring the highest level of technical account management. The SE assists customers with design, configuration, implementation, and integration of the Cisco SaaS elements.

Field Engineer (FE)

The FE must be familiar with current Cisco Collaboration Architecture and be well versed in the Cisco SaaS Resale ATP Program product elements. The FE coordinates the sale, installation, logistics and implementation of Cisco SaaS elements at the customer site(s). Responsibilities include: test and turn-up services; providing one or more orientation workshop to customer personnel in the use of the Workspace product elements, providing problem determination, analysis, and problem resolution; and engaging Cisco TAC as required for second level support, problem resolution, and escalation.

Technical Support Specialist (TSS)

The TSS will provide pre-sales project management support for all Workspace elements and related activities as defined by the Cisco SaaS Resale ATP Program. The TSS takes first call, break/fix calls, and is responsible for ensuring response times to customer problems are in accordance with the SLA’s. The TSS is responsible for working with the end user Customer to ensure any integration of SaaS elements with customer owned applications are completed satisfactorily.
