Thursday, May 15 - Lab Demonstrations

An opportunity to Cisco's innovations first-hand. Presented by Cisco technical marketing engineers, you will see three product demonstrations on the Cisco Campus. Registration required.

Lab Demonstrations

Multi-Layer Provisioning and Restoration across IP, OTN, and DWDM
Multi-layer provisioning, coordination, and information sharing is a cornerstone of network convergence, driving greater efficiency and dramatically increased service velocity. This demonstration will feature intelligent multi-layer interaction between the IP, OTN, and DWDM layers via Cisco's nLight Control Plane, including service provisioning and restoration.

Multi-Layer WAN Control Plane with nLight and Cisco MATE
In this demonstration, the Cisco nLight Control Plane is combined with the trusted intelligence of Cisco MATE Design to enable a powerful WAN Multi-layer Control Plane solution. Using multi-layer collection, analysis, and provisioning capabilities, we will demonstrate the turn-up and re-optimization an IP+Optical network in near real-time.

Superchannel Formation and Transport with the NCS 2000
The combination of Nyquist superchannels and high-order modulation promises to dramatically increase the capacity of DWDM systems in addition to enabling a flexible and efficient mapping of packet bandwidth to transport capacity. This demonstration will show how the NCS 2000 integrates both of these functions together with the industry's highest port-count ROADM, creating a scalable and programmable optical layer.
