NetRiders 2012 for the United States and Canada (High School Competition)
Attention high school students: compete in teams of two in Cisco NetRiders for a chance to prizes and recognition! Ask your Cisco Networking Academy instructor for details.
Register as teams between February 27-March 16, 2012 (use the Register button above).
All Cisco Networking Academy students enrolled in Cisco IT Essentials, CCNA Discovery, or CCNA Exploration at a High School/Secondary Academy (within the past 9 months) within a state, province, or district in the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) are eligible to participate (see official Rules).
| IMPORTANT NOTE: Students will first need to obtain an Enrollment Key from their Networking Academy instructor to register for the competition. In addition, academy instructors must also register to proctor team(s). What is NetRiders?
Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders is a great opportunity for students/alumni to showcase their IT/Networking skills and gain visibility among talent recruiters in the growing ICT and networking field.
The high school competition is organized by Cisco as an opportunity for Networking Academy students to participate in a valuable learning experience by testing their networking/ICT skills. This is done through a series of online exams and simulation activities using Cisco Packet Tracer that cover CCENT certification material. Each year, over 10,000 Cisco Networking Academy students compete in NetRiders events in over 80 countries across the globe.
Who can compete in NetRiders?
The 2012 Cisco NetRiders IT Skills Challenge is open to any Cisco Networking Academy student who is currently enrolled or has been enrolled in IT Essentials, Cisco CCNA Discovery or CCNA Exploration at a High School/Secondary Academy within nine (9) months prior to the date of the NetRiders registration. Contestants must be enrolled within a state, province, or district in the United States or Canada. The contest is available in English only (not available in Quebec). NOTE: Contestants must have an Academy Connection Username and Password to register.
What is the schedule?
NetRiders is conducted in a series of Three (3) Rounds
What are the prizes?
Prizes will be awarded at the Theater Finale level to the top ten (10) teams. Prizes include iPads, iPods. All finalists who qualify for the Theater Finale will also receive a CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT. In addition, the top five (5) ranked team's academy will receive 5 CCNA certification vouchers.
