Global Partners - UNV

Cisco and UNV have been working in partnership since the launch of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) initiative at the G-8 Summit in Okinawa, Japan in 2000.

Through the course of our work together, Cisco has sponsored more than 110 volunteers in 40 countries to help increase and improve ICT training opportunities for underserved populations in developing countries.

Partnership highlights:

  • Establishing networking academies in rural and marginalized areas
  • Creating student internship programs with local NGOs and businesses
  • Increasing participation of women and girls within the academies
