Our partnership with ITU began in 2001 with a focus on enabling and extending access to ICT education and providing new opportunities for young people.
- The establishment of approximately 70 new Internet Training Centres (ITC) in developing countries
- Ongoing support for the sustainability of ITCs
- Targeted opportunities for women and girls through scholarships
- Assessment of the impact of our joint initiatives
ITU continues to partner with Cisco to expand the ITC program upon request of developing countries and has embarked on a program to facilitate collaboration among ITCs to share best practices and expertise.
