Be a Graphic Designer
Play the Peter Packet game and pay attention to the graphics. Why do you think the
graphic artists selected the designs that they did? Do these images make you think of the
Internet, computer hardware and software, or using the computer for communication?
If you were the graphic designer for Peter Packet, what type of designs would you create?
Use a computer paint program or draw your ideas on paper. If you draw them on paper,
you may want to scan them into the computer to use them in presentations, experiment
with photo-editing programs, or add them to a newsletter.
If you'd like to experiment with a photo-editing program, visit the Adobe website at
www.adobe.com, select Adobe PhotoShop Elements®, and click on the link to download
and try it. You can also visit the Broderbund website at www.broderbund.com to view
demos of Kid Pix Deluxe® and Print Shop®.
You can also make several different designs and create a computer slide show.
