On July 31, 2007 Cisco will launch a revised CCDP certification. A major part of this revision will be the new Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture (ARCH) v2.0 course and exam (642-873) where 90% of the material has been updated to include material more relevant to the latest Cisco product changes. The revision includes updated skill assessments that enable candidates to design networks that leverage new technologies and best practices of embedding application-level intelligence into the network infrastructure; creating a service-oriented network architecture (SONA).
The revised Cisco Certified Design Professional curriculum now puts candidates on the path to be the designer of the intelligent network.
