Cisco Adjusts Recertification Policy for CCNA, CCDA Exams
To recognize those candidates who demonstrate additional skills beyond their current certification status, Cisco will adjust its recertification policy at the Associate level (CCNA, CCDA) certifications. If a recertification candidate passes any new exam at the professional or Cisco Qualified Specialist level, the candidate will be considered recertified at the CCNA or CCDA level.
Only those exams with numbers bearing the 642 prefix, e.g. ARCH 642-871, may be applied to the CCNA or CCDA level recertification. Once passed, the exam and the resulting recertification will be valid for three years from the date of passing. The current option of recertifying at the CCNA or CCDA level by passing the original certification exam remains available to candidates as well.
