Join Us at EMC World 2013
Today, IT organizations must deliver more services with speed and agility yet manage exponential data growth all while operating within constrained and even reduced budgets. At the same time, demand for new services and applications are driving change in data center infrastructure – increases in bandwidth, performance, and flexibility.
Cloud computing represents a new model for IT – enabling IT to run as a service. Cloud computing promises not only a more efficient IT infrastructure but also a greater level of agility – allowing IT to be more responsive to business requirements.
Global technology leaders Cisco and EMC are collaborating to offer customers a choice of industry-leading virtual infrastructure architectures that can simplify, automate and transform your IT while helping you accelerate the journey to cloud computing:
- Build Your Own – Solutions built using tested and proven products and services
- Reference architectures through VSPEX – Pre-packaged reference architectures
- Converged infrastructure through joint venture VCE – Vblock, a transformative way to consume virtual infrastructure
These infrastructure architectures are designed to help IT accelerate the transition from a traditional to a virtualized and automated service-oriented data center architecture.
EMC World is the place for attendees to learn how to put cloud computing in action with a host of EMC engineers, customers and partners. EMC World features 500-plus breakout sessions, tech updates, keynotes, demonstrations, workshops and birds-of-a-feather sessions.

Experience Our Demonstrations in Booth 401
Transforming Cloud Across Distributed Data Centers
Transforming cloud automation takes you to the next step of automation and cloud capability. The demo showcases the best-in-class technologies available in a Vblock, and provided by EMC and Cisco, to provide end users the ability to transparently move workloads between sites proactively or reactively. Customers are invited to get hands on with the technology in order to see how overlay transport virtualization (OTV) transparently connects your data centers over an intelligent Layer 2 network, VPLEX intelligently connects the storage between sites, and Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP) removes all location dependencies, all with hardware performance, to enable a truly active-active data center.
The Power of End-to-End Fibre Channel over Ethernet
Cisco's Unified Fabric vision is rooted in convergence of storage and traditional Ethernet networks. Cisco's architecture enables the design of a high-throughput core network and accommodates different connectivity options. This demo will highlight a complete Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) solution using the Cisco Nexus and MDS family of products with Data Center and Mobility Networking to manage it.
Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud
Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud is a self-service provisioning and orchestration software solution for cloud computing and data center automation. It helps enable secure, on-demand, and highly automated IT operations for both virtual and physical infrastructure across compute, network, storage, and applications.
Cisco Cloupia is a multivendor, multiprotocol converged infrastructure solution that provides unified management of the industry's leading converged infrastructures from a single interface.
Cisco UCS for Virtualization and Cloud
The Cisco UCS Advantage demo highlights all of the Cisco UCS differentiators such as VM-FEX, large memory footprint (albeit a nonextended memory platform), service profiles, Cisco UCS Manager, Unified Fabrics, 40Gb and so on in the context of mixed workload (basically representing a typical DC scenario).
Cisco Nexus 1000V Virtual Extensible LAN Innovations
Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) on Cisco Nexus 1000V has been made much easier to deploy by removing the need for IP multicast requirement from the underlying physical network. In addition, this demo will highlight the VXLAN-to-VLAN gateway.
