The Cisco TelePresence Solutions Specialist certification focuses on the job-performance needs of a midcareer voice specialist or networking engineer who seeks to specialize in the planning, design, implementation (PDI) and maintenance of Cisco TelePresence deployments. Tasks include assessing network paths for rich media, evaluating call-control design options and configuring interoperability functions.

Prerequisites

Valid Cisco CCNA certification can act as a prerequisite. While a valid Cisco CCNP Voice is not a prerequisite certification, a working understanding of CVOICE, QoS, CIPT1, and CIPT2 are highly recommended.

Candidates can prepare for this exam by taking the Implementing Cisco TelePresence Solutions v1.0 and Physical Installation of Cisco TelePresence Systems (PITS) v1.0 ILT courses. Together, the ITSI and PITS instructor-led courses prepare networking professionals to perform as Cisco TelePresence voice-conferencing professionals.

Installing Cisco TelePresence Video Immersive Systems 500-005 is the exam associated with the Cisco TX9000 Management (TX9KMAN) course. The Installing TelePresence Video Immersive Systems course is designed to give learners a strong understanding of the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the Cisco TX9000 and TX9200 systems. Cisco TX9000 Management exam assessment topics include features and options, physical installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting.

Cisco Specialist Certifications are valid for two years. To recertify, take and pass the current version of the required exam(s) or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
