Cisco Live! 2011 Bahrain to be postponed
Manama - Kingdom of Bahrain:
H.E. Shaikh Ahmed Bin Atteyatallah Al Khalifa, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Minister Responsible for the Telecommunications Sector announced today that Cisco Live! 2011 Bahrain, which was under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, has been postponed. The event was scheduled to take place in the Kingdom Of Bahrain from the 10th to 13th April, 2011, for the second time in Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
Cisco Live! 2011 Bahrain is a collaboration between Cisco and the government of Bahrain, and the Kingdom was chosen as one of the most favorable locations to organize this regional conference, that runs annually in a number of worldwide capitals in the field of ICT. Last year’s event attracted around 4,000 participants, onsite and online, ranging from executives to industry specialists associated with the ICT community.
In this context, H.E. Shaikh Ahmed Bin Atteyatallah Al Khalifa, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Minister Responsible for the Telecommunications Sector stated: Given the prevailing circumstances, and in order to identify a suitable date that meets the requirements to make the event a successful experience, as well as the need to accommodate visitors and guests who travel to the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the event, the government of Bahrain and Cisco have mutually agreed to postpone the event and the new dates will be defined at a later stage.

A: In the coming days the Cisco Live team will be reviewing and canceling all hotel reservations made through the Cisco Live registration website, and issuing a full refund of any registration fees paid. This will occur at no cost and will require no action from you.
Q: Can I roll my registration over to the next event?
A: As announcements about the rescheduled Cisco Live event will be made at a later stage, our preference is to return your registration fee.
Q: Will there still be an online or virtual event?
A: No – the virtual Cisco Live event leverages much of the live content including keynotes and other presentations. Details of the virtual event will be available alongside the rescheduled Cisco Live event at a later stage.
