    The Technical Support Advisor allows you to perform the first step for the Technical Support Advisor tool on Cisco.com.

    The Technical Support Advisor tool provides highly targeted search results based on your networking device and software combination, and points you to the type of documentation you need.

    If you visited the Technical Support Advisor stand-alone tool and defined product and software combinations there in the past, the Technical Support Advisor portlet displays those in the pulldown. Select one of the values from the dropdown, select an information type from the radio button list, and click Submit. A new screen launches with the Technical Support Advisor tool on its next step.

    If you have never defined product and software combinations in the past, immediately click the Submit button from the Technical Support Advisor portlet. You reach the Technical Support Advisor stand-alone tool. Once there, you can define the product and software combinations that interest you.

    How do I delete the Technical Support Advisor portlet?

    1. Click the Edit icon on the active page tab. You see the portlets and the layout for your page.
    2. Click the X on the Technical Support Advisor portlet.
    3. Click Save. The portlet disappears from your page.

    To add the portlet again:

    1. Click the Edit icon on the active page tab.
    2. Click the Add Portlet button. A list of portlets that you can add to your page displays.
