New Features and Portlets in My Tech Support
On August 15, 2005, in an ongoing effort to continue providing consolidated
Cisco Technical Support Website features, My Tech Support:
- added one new feature to the existing Service Request portlet
- added three new portlets, two of which allow you to perform the first step
of two of our most popular tools directly from My Tech Support
Cisco added to the Service Request portlet the ability to allow users
to define the number of Service Request summaries that appear. Before
now, users saw up to three summaries. Now, users can see from one to ten
summaries.
What are the New Portlets?
The three new portlets available are:
- Output Interpreter—allows you to launch the first step in the
Output
Interpreter directly from My Tech Support, saving you the time of
having to visit the tool directly before doing so. Now, you don't have
to leave My Tech Support to start using this tool.
- Technical Support Advisor—allows you to perform the first step
for the Technical
Support Advisor tool on Cisco.com. Now, you don't have to leave
My Tech Support to start using this tool.
- Did You Know—provides links to short articles on how to get
the most out of your My Tech Support experience.
