Doing Business With Cisco

Global Supply Chain

Business continuity and resiliency requirements must be built into the design and release process for new products, not tacked on later. Cisco's Global Supply Chain team has developed a Supply Chain Risk Management process framework, engagement model, metrics, and toolset to help ensure that business continuity is part of product development:

  • Business Continuity Process: Assess and test the resilience of supply chain nodes and internal processes to measure and help ensure recoverability by establishing resiliency standards.
  • Crisis Management: Coordinate proactive and reactive measures through global event monitoring to identify disruptions, assess their possible impact, and adopt recovery plans to limit disruption to our customers.
  • Resiliency: Mitigate use of high-risk components and supply chains for sustaining products and incorporate resiliency requirements into new products and supply chains.
