Video technologies provide interactive video over an IP network and converge voice, video and data traffic over a common path. Video connects people to learning resources, and to each other, with a far more personal touch than other communications media. Video technology builds on top of existing IP data networks, ultimately saving money and scaling to larger deployments than historical ISDN-based installations. Distance learning and business meetings are two common applications that can be deployed cost effectively over IP data networks.

Cisco IT supports corporate video conferencing over IP, and also broadcasts corporate communications using Content Networking Technology. These broadcasts utilize both ACNS and IP/TV, a Cisco IP/TV system.
