About Meeting of the Minds 2011
Meeting of the Minds is two and a half days of intensive exchange on urban innovation for an invited group of more than 200 leaders. Each one, in their respective organization, is working towards creating more sustainable and innovative cities using new tools, best practices, and smarter systems. These innovators gather to learn from each other about the scaling-up of practical urban innovations, especially in infrastructure. They participate in order to meet other innovators working in technology, energy, transport, water, finance-all of whom are building better ways to govern while also growing more prosperous economies. These leaders are drawn from multiple sectors and diverse geographies, and they share ideas and projects with the aim of shaping a common agenda. Participants are drawn from public, private and independent sectors and from North America, Europe and Asia. One element of the Meeting's agenda is focused on the complex interplays that link natural ecosystems with the infrastructures that move our energy, people, goods, waste, and water. As a global sponsor of Meeting of the Minds 2011, Cisco and Cisco IBSG have shaped the agenda for the conference and will be presenting IBSG-developed thought leadership on topics including the Resilient Society, Urban Innovation, Connected Vehicles, and Work-Life Innovation. |
