A: : Business attire is suggested for the June 17 sessions. We advise that you dress in layers for the duration of the event, as the temperature in each session room may fluctuate. On June 18, we will be visiting the Cisco and other pavilions at World Expo therefore we recommend business casual attire and comfortable walking shoes.

Q: Are guests required to stay throughout the entire Conference?
A: To benefit from the event, we encourage all attendees to participate in the full agenda. If you have a conflict that will limit your ability to stay for the entire program, please let us know during the registration process.

Q: For which expenses am I responsible?
A: All attendees are responsible for their own incidentals, air and ground transportation, and hotel-room stay.

Q: May I bring my spouse or family to Conference sessions and functions?
A: Due to the business requirements of the meetings, we recommend that spouses, guests, and family members do not attend, as they will not be allowed to participate in Conference activities. Attendees’ guests and family members, however, are welcome to enjoy Le Royal Méridien facilities, Shanghai, and World Expo attractions at their leisure.

Q: Is transportation available to/from the Pudong International airport to Le Royal Méridien?
A: Attendees are responsible for their own ground transportation between Le Royal Méridien and Pudong International Airport. Please allow a minimum of three hours for transport from your hotel to the airport, including time to check-in and go through security check points.

We recommend that you use Shanghai Maglev Train. Please note:
You may also choose to take a taxi, which will cost approximately CNY¥150 (one way) from Pudong International Airport to People's Square in the center of Shanghai. Taxi ride is approximately 50 minutes. Q: How long will it take to get from the airport to Le Royal Méridien?
A: Le Royal Méridien is located 30 kilometers from Pudong International Airport. Travel time is approximately 50 minutes, depending on the time of day. Please allow for increased travel time during commute hours, which are Monday through Friday.

A: All accommodations will be reserved based on the information received through the registration process. Confirmation emails will be sent to registered guests approximately two weeks prior to the Conference.

Q: What is the policy regarding reservation changes or cancellations?
A: Accommodations for Partnership for Urban Innovation Global Conference, Shanghai 2010 are held on a group basis.

If you cancel your reservation prior to 5:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time (PST), on June 1, 2010, you will not be charged. If you cancel after 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on June 1, 2010, you will be charged a one-night cancellation fee. The hotel will refund cancellation charges to your credit card should the room be resold. Q: What are hotel check-in and check-out times?
A: Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. All guests arriving before 2:00 p.m. will be accommodated if rooms are available. The bell captain can arrange to store baggage for guests arriving early and for guests departing late afternoon or early evening.
