Student Colloquia

Student Colloquia provide a forum for top PhD students to present their research. The intention is to foster a two way exchage of ideas and create opportunities for collaborations. The visitor is invited to give a one hour talk on their research, with a question and answer period following. After the talk is over Cisco will arrange for follow-up meeting(s) with some of the Cisco engineers/researchers working in the same field.

General guidelines for qualifying participants are:

  • The Student Colloquia series targets the top PhD students from highly ranked schools
  • Each student must be sponsored by a Professor, a Cisco Business Unit, or a Cisco Researcher who has some experience with the student or their advisor.
  • The student must agree to travel to Cisco, San Jose campus to give the talk on a mutually agreeable date.
  • Cisco will pay for the travel and hotel.
