Cisco offers opportunities to faculty and graduate students including visits, internships, and fellowships. Opportunities are updated as they become available. Current opportunitiesCurrent opportunities include the following: Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI)The National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry (GOALI) The GOALI program is a catalyst for academic and industry alliances. A typical grant is for $30,000-$100,000 in support of joint research, cross visits, and other activities. Proposals funded by the Cisco Research Center RFP process are eligible, and Cisco supports applications to GOALI. To apply for GOALI funding and work with Cisco, write to goali-support@cisco.com requesting the support letters specified in the GOALI program. Cisco provides commitment letters, industry-university agreement letters on intellectual property, and documentation of collaborative arrangements as required by GOALI. Visiting Scholars ProgramThe Cisco Visiting Scholars Program provides support for faculty who take a leave from their university and conduct research at a Cisco site. The purpose of the Visiting Scholar Program is to provide faculty with access to state-of-the-art facilities and to encourage faculty to work closely on research with Cisco engineers.
