Empowerment Through EducationCisco recognizes that entrepreneurs, particularly many of our own suppliers, lack formal exposure to the tools, methods, strategies, and approaches needed to develop and grow their organizations. Accordingly, Cisco collaborates with the Anderson School at UCLA to make available the Management Development for Entrepreneurs (MDE) Program to several diverse enterprises. Every year Cisco and several of its partners provide funding to support several diverse enterprises. Through the UCLA MDE Program we strive to develop the entrepreneurial skills of business owners to enable them to be viable competitors. The UCLA MDE Program helps entrepreneurs and managers to develop essential management skills as well as to strengthen their ability to build effective and profitable organizations. An intensive four-day certificate program, UCLA MDE provides participants with instruction in up-to-the-minute theory and practice in areas such as strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and management. All UCLA MDE courses are taught by award-winning faculty who teach Anderson’s top-ranked MBA programs. In addition to a varied curriculum of lectures, case discussions, and applied workshops, participants receive individual consultative assistance and work closely with faculty to confront issues facing today’s growing enterprises. This program is among the most highly regarded graduate-level executive training programs in the country. We look forward to continuing our support of the UCLA MDE Program.
