Registering with Supplier Diversity

Value of Registering with Cisco

Working with a diverse network of suppliers helps Cisco better understand the viewpoints and needs of our customers across the globe while enhancing economic vitality within the communities we serve. At Cisco, we include diverse suppliers in our strategic sourcing bids for products and services throughout the world.

Certified diverse suppliers can register with Cisco through our Comprehensive Vendor Management (CVM) portal. This portal is available to all buyers, contract managers, and spend managers throughout the organization.

Supplier Profiles

After you register with Cisco, you can create a supplier profile that include all your certifications, along with a list of products and services, industry affiliations, company overviews, and other information.

Please be sure to keep your profile up to date, since expired certifications in our system will automatically list your company as ineligible. If your company is delisted because of expired certifications, Cisco cannot count our business with you in our supplier diversity reports, and your company’s profile will not be visible to the procurement buyers when they search for a match to an opportunity.

Our Global Supplier Diversity Business Development (GSDBD) team, a primary component of Cisco’s strategic business process, tracks and monitors supplier diversity activity on the CVM portal and reports progress in diversity spend to senior executives and customers.

All diverse suppliers (see definitions) must be certified by a third party authority, such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) or one of its regional councils, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC ), Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC), and WEConnect.

Certified diverse suppliers can register with Cisco by using the Comprehensive Vendor Management portal. To register as a diverse supplier or to update your existing profile, log in to the CVM portal.
